Not a political blog post. Nope.

I would not dare blog about politics, since I promised not to do so during Lent.

So, nope, this is not that.

But I just thought you all might like to get this on your calendar, since it's coming up on Friday:

Click the link to find out where your local rally will be held.

Every single bishop in America has spoken publicly about the grave evils of Obama's HHS mandate.

We are in solidarity.

I'm going with many friends (and children!) to my hometown protest.

Are you going to yours? Let me know in the comments! And, spread the word, please!

Once religious liberty is lost in America, I'm pretty sure it won't be coming back.

  1. I'll be on the road back west... if Elise is screaming in the car again, I'll offer it up for the cause, how's that? ;)

  2. I will be in Trenton, and our parish has a bus going to Philly. Too bad that politics has to be done when most people are at work and in school.

  3. We will be there. And I better get to see you all!

  4. I'll be there, with all three boys in tow!

  5. Mary, that counts double! :)

I can't wait to see Eli, Charles, Kara and Heidi! And, Christine, I agree. I think we should just imagine a hundred times the people we will see there, and know that at least that many would have been there if they could have!

    Okay, who else?

  7. If my little guy is better we will be in Chicago!

  8. I'm taking the day off and joining in. I can only hope that we are joined by many on our side. I expect we'll be met with hostility at times, and at those times may we all focus on the fact that this is what Christ endured, and He endured so much worse with humility.

  9. So I was recently hired for a government job... and was told I was not allowed to do any protesting or fundraising during duty hours. I am so bummed. BUT I will totally be there in spirit!

  10. My state is not hosting a rally...but I will be there in spirit!

  11. That's my son's birthday! What a present for him--religious freedom!

Not sure I can make it that day, but I want to do SOMETHING...

  12. I would totally ditch my classes and go to the downtown Chicago rally but I have a mandatory workshop to attend on that day that I cannot miss. That makes me really sad cause I wanted to be a REBEL on Friday. I will be going to the Stations of the Cross as well as mass that evening so I will offer it up for that.

  13. Nope, this is not a political post. It's a religious post and a current event post. It could also be considered a social event post. A person could go to a rally and make a new friend.

  14. Thanks for posting about this ; I wasn't aware of it. Anchorage, Alaska is on the list so we'll be there!

  15. I plan on being at the rally in Trenton! My first rally ever. :)

  16. I really want to go to the rally in Trenton, but it's a long drive for me with a toddler. I've never been to Trenton and am worried about the parking situation. I was really hoping the Archdiocese of Newark or a parish would be offering a bus, but so far, I can't find one. I may still attempt it - it's really important!!!
