Thank you, Danya, for saying what I couldn't.
Prayers for my sister Pauline are much appreciated.
"For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience." -- Romans 8:24-25
Leila, I am so, so sorry. Here's hoping your sister beats the odds and has the best possible outcome. Stay strong!

ReplyDeleteLeila my family will be praying for your family during this difficult time. My mother in law has also been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer after being in remission for 7 years. I want to recommend a book to you "Healing is for You!" by Maria Vadia. Unfortunately it seems to be unavailable at Amazon but perhaps a Catholic or Christian bookstore will have it. I believe that it will give some hope to your sister and your family.
ReplyDeleteGod bless!
Leila, I will also pray for you and your sister. Just over three weeks ago I received the news of a malign skin tumor. I was on my way to the airport to a trip abroad when I heard the diagnosis over the phone. At that moment, life changes irrevocably. It was more than another week until it was confirmed to me that everything had been cut out just in time and that I would be fine. For me, the experience was a Godsend. I realized, like never before, how thin the thread of life on earth is, and how incredibly important my faith and my family truly are to me. I will never be the same again. I wish and pray for your sister's recovery! She is very lucky to have such a wonderful family, and so many prayers to sustain her. All the very best, may God be with her, with you, with your families.
ReplyDeletePauline, her family and yours will be in my prayers and intentions; press hard into God for strenth and for healing; may the powerful intercession of our saints also bring all our prayers to the feet of Jesus, who can bring goodness in the face of all challenges. Love to you my friend....
ReplyDeleteI will light a special candle for your sister at Mass today. Lots of love and prayers your way, Leila!

ReplyDeletePraying for your sister. God bless.
ReplyDeletePraying for your sister, you and your family. My brother and father both have aggressive forms of cancer. My dad has stage IV kidney and my brother has brain cancer. So far with God's grace they are beating the odds. It's been 6 years for my brother and 1 1/2 for my dad. I loved the Bible verse you posted. My dad's favorite is Mark 11:24. It has gotten him through his ordeal. My parents also have a saying that helps them, FROG: Fully Rely On God. They have gotten amazing treatment at Duke in Raleigh/Durham---for what that's worth. God bless you!!
ReplyDeletePraying my friend!
ReplyDeleteLeila, we will keep her in our thoughts and prayers. My middle boy will be sure of it, as he is diligent about these things before bed.
ReplyDelete<3 you. Praying daily.
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for you all and especially Pauline!
