I only do three things well

My gifts are few, but I have at least three (well, #2 may not be a gift, exactly). I am fairly competent when I:

1) write

2) give my opinion

3) teach the Faith

I don't cook, I am not crafty, I don't know how to make my house look lovely, and I don't know how to be a good hostess. I also don't iron or sew, I don't know how to fix things, I am not an animal person, and I hate camping.

The qualities I most admire in my friends, I do not possess. The talents I most desire, I do not have. I say this with absolutely no angst, because I have long ago accepted it, and my self-esteem is fine (probably too fine, if I'm being honest).

I am not fishing for compliments (did I mention that my self-esteem is plenty high?), I am simply grateful that you all are reading this blog, which allows me the opportunity to do the three things I do best! Thank you! It's a lot of fun!  :)

  1. We're glad you are here at the blog you swore you would never have. I have learned so much from it and the comments.

  2. I second Ann! I have learned so much from reading your blog. And the talents you have are great talents. I would love those. Now if I could just figure out how to get my cooking through the blog to share my talent with you we'd be doing great! :)

  3. I would agree with all 3 points. You indeed are quite accomplished at all of them. I learn so much from your blog--it makes me giggle each time I hear that you always swore you'd never have a blog.

But look at your now!!! All it took was some barren chicks to bring you out of hiding--yet another hidden blessing of our collective infertility! :)

  10. Thanks for sharing because I only see these three and I was convinced you were perfection! :) I will have to think about my gifts because I read your list of yes and no's and I didn't find one that I could do! lol
Oh, I can organize the heck out of your house. And, it goes hand in hand, I am the queen of "productive procrastination." I'd like to think I created that term, but I probably stole it without meaning to like Danya (or was it the mom?!) steals accents-haha!

  11. If Danya's cooking, I'll show up and bus table and clean the scullery!!

Wait, first I have to learn how to make decals to iron on a shirt, but I'm sure I could figure it out!!! ;)
