Life is good!

Been off the grid for a couple of days and had a wonderful time at our eldest daughter's college graduation!

We are so proud of her, and we are looking forward to our other daughter's high school graduation in just a few weeks!

And I must say, it's been so peaceful, beautiful, incredible not to be reading and talking about all the darkness in the world, not debating about down being up and up being down, but instead just being grateful to the Lord for every grace and blessing (which is easier to do when one walks away from screens for a bit)!

In keeping with the joy theme, I hope to tell you in the next post how my daughter and her fiancĂ© met, so stay tuned!

  1. I like that shirt you're wearing!

That last picture is so neat. I like the spontaneous pictures best, when people don't know you're watching. They look like they adore each other. :-)

I agree, sometimes (many times, actually), it is better to step away from the screen! I need to do that often, as just a simple title to another depressing news story is enough to bring me down.

The other day, I was feeling down as there was so much going on in FB, the local and national news of deaths, murders, kidnappings, rapes, the latest abortion scandal....it was overwhelming. But then I had a thought that made it all bearable: through it all--He's still God. He still conquers all evil. :-)

  3. Congrats Leila. You guys look great and I agree with Becky that that young couple is just cooked. A favorite old priest used to always tell us at baptisms and weddings "some poeple have lots of money and have everything they need, and some people are Rich And know they have it all" . Well, you guys are Obviously very rich. God Bless
