We will mark our 45th this October. The exotation is so beautiful and true. It is good that God has hidden our future from us. Who would enter into marriage if tbey knew what was ahead? There have been many bumps in the road for us and we are better for all of them. Our marriage is better for all of them. Our most recent bump is a diagnosis of breast cancer. God has strengthened us to be able to look at this as an opportunity. We will be called to love more and depend on God without fail. Thank you for your witness to the world of the importance of marriage. God bless both of you.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08746803256481700584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-240447238522390484.post-7047166605536836102015-07-29T04:24:58.183-07:002015-07-29T04:24:58.183-07:00Dearest Leila, what a beautiful, beautiful life yo...Dearest Leila, what a beautiful, beautiful life you and Dean have indeed built! Heartfelt congratulations! As any married person can appreciate (especially with a kid or two), that is truly an achievement, and a beacon of light for so many who inevitably go through their own marital challenges. Thank you also so much for the Exhortation before Marriage, I didn't know it and it is so inspiring (and, obviously, true). Something to keep for the ages. I’d definitely dissect or question some it, but overall, it’s kind of interesting to read.

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/faithonthecouch/2015/07/men-want-more-romance-and-other-surprising-relationship-facts/

All the best to you and Dean on this milestone celebration. ;)

P.S. And a blessing for many generations to come through your kids.
We can surely relate to the "beginning" you described. Like sailors and all. Now the sailor talk only comes out after cocktails and when we are alone :).
The exhortation posted is amazing. The reality of joy and suffering is so real.
